Join us on the WLG MasterChat Thursday, April 6 at 1:00 p.m., to hear the City Manager Journey of Heather Abrams, Town Manager of Fairfax, CA. Heather loves working at the confluence of big policy ideas and day-to-day operations. Fairfax is a small town with big policy aspirations. She takes her role as a public servant seriously, and knows the importance of a great team. Heather will share her journey as a woman and as a mom rising up the ranks and having to take risks to break barriers. Heather has a background working in solid waste, wastewater, local government, and private business. She’s no stranger to being the “only one” in the room, and wants to make sure you have a seat at the table.

WLG MasterChats are a safe, comfortable space where WLG members can learn new skills, share experiences, or get advice while connecting with other female local government leaders. These short calls are held on the first and third Thursdays of every month at 1:00 p.m. and last only 30 minutes. The calls cover a variety of topics including leadership lessons, project management, problem solving, self-care, balance, and other topics specific to women in a small group setting. These calls are informal, comfortable sessions that provide an opportunity for all attendees to speak (or just listen!) and ask other women in local government their questions.
